Or et Rosé

A place for tidbits, little finds and other things that inspire me.

luxury in a carpark

I spent a ladies weekend in South Beach last month and enjoyed a day to myself strolling Miami’s Lincoln Road in search of Isabel Marant’s new spring pieces. I admit, Lincoln Road was one of the least likely places I would have thought to look but I had read about a shop - alchemist - which carried the line. Owned and run by a super chic couple, you can find a wonderfully curated selection of designers including Celine, Chrome Hearts, Proenza, Dries, Rick Owens and Alaïa. They have two locations bookending Lincoln Road. At the main shop I found the Isabel pieces I was looking for freshly unpacked from their UPS boxes. At the other end of Lincoln Road, I found myself walking to a very cool parking garage, really a 7-story architectural sculpture, designed by Herzog & de Meuron. With high end retailers such as Shake Shack, Nespresso, Journelle and Taschen on the bottom floor, I knew I was in for a treat as I stepped into the garage elevator. Stepping out on the 5th floor you are surrounded by concrete and cars but then you turn the corner and you catch a glimpse of a glass box that seems to float in the midst of this huge concrete construction. And you are amazed…

mini karls

Mr. Lagerfeld has been quite busy - last week, his new Chanel couture collection showed in Paris and as posted before he launched his more affordable line KARL with Net-A-Porter. What I find most exciting though are the mini Karl’s we can buy at the pop-up shop on Bleeker Street in the form of dolls, figurines, key chains and necklaces…

chic western style

I stumbled upon Henry Beguelin in Aspen this past summer. Not only did I immediately fall in love with the boots, bags, belts but also with the beautifully designed shop. Over Thanksgiving weekend we happened to be staying down the street from the Chicago outpost and it reminded me to finish this post. Here are photos of both locations.

The Mandarin

In October, I celebrated my birthday weekend in the city I adore and try to visit most - Paris. I felt like the luckiest of girls to stay at the newly opened Mandarin Oriental on Rue Saint-Honoré, a modern oasis right in the heart of shopping heaven. It truly was a special weekend. A big thank you to my dear husband and my good friend Adrian! Here are some photos I took while I was there. Interior design by SM Design. Interior design of restaurants and bar by Agence Jouin-Manku.

The Camelia - the more casual of the two restaurants by Thierry Marx. There is also the lovely Cake Shop with tasty treats.

shoes!!!

My latest shoe obsession is the entire Charlotte Olympia line. Last week, with only one day in London, visiting her flagship store in Mayfair was on the top of my list. To no surprise, the shop is gorgeous just like the shoes!

Maison 24

I had read about Maison 24 in the design blogs but had yet to visit until my friend Julia in London reminded me about her friends who own the shop. I was in search of a decorative trunk for a client so I stopped by last week and found a fabulous lucite version. For those of you who want to add some stylish fun in your home, you can find Maison 24 on Park Avenue in NYC or in Bridgehamton.
